The Walnut Hill Project

The Walnut Hill Project centered on a remarkable 1782 tavern with an attached accessory dwelling unit. Working with the homeowners, we developed a staging strategy that focused on the historic main house while intentionally leaving the ADU vacant so buyers could better appreciate its flexibility and future possibilities.

Rather than recreating a period interior, we selected transitional furnishings that respected the home's remarkable architecture while reflecting the expectations of modern living. Throughout the home, subtle antique furniture and wares acknowledged the property's past without overshadowing its updated comforts.

The Walnut Hill Project reflects our philosophy that historic homes deserve thoughtful stewardship. By balancing authenticity with contemporary living, we created a presentation that honored more than two centuries of history while inviting buyers to imagine the home's next chapter.
